Homemaker and Companion Services – licensed through the Agency For Health Care Administration (AHCA)

AYUDA’s Certificate # is 23716, Registration # 228657.  Our website address is www.ayudamiami.org

The homemaker services greatly benefit our homebound frail elders as they age at home rather than in an institution.

Frail elders are often less able to clean house, go shopping for food, do laundry or cook for themselves.

Our homemaker services lightens their load and a clean home is conducive to better health for a longer period of time.

Light food shopping, light laundry, food preparation and home cleaning services are provided to our clients on a biweekly basis.

Although AYUDA is not a medical institution, our objective with the elders is to maintain their mental and physical health as long as possible while residing at home.

Our homemaker is a friendly consistent visitor that helps abate the elders’ loneliness.

Our services are long term as we do not discharge an elder until there is an absolute need to be placed or they pass away.

Homemaker and Case Managers alternate their services each week thus the elder is visited on a weekly basis.

AHCA was founded in 1949 and is based in Washington, D.C. The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) is part of AHCA.

AHCA/NCAL works with Congress and the Federal government to advocate for long term care services.

In Florida, the Agency for Health Care Administration is responsible for Medicaid.

The Agency successfully completed the implementation of the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program in 2014.
