This program allows children who might not be able to experience the education they deserve in a safe and nurturing environment. Free breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Early stimulation for infants and toddlers, progressive pre-school instruction, early technology education and developmental screenings and inclusion programs for special needs children are offered through a partnership with Happy Kids Learning Center. “It takes a village to raise a child.”

The Florida Tax Scholarship with a Step Up For Students Scholarship, your K-12 student has more school options. The Florida Tax Credit and Family Empowerment Scholarships give families a choice of financial assistance toward private school tuition and fees or helps with transportation costs for students to attend a public school different than the one the student is assigned to.


The Family Empowerment Scholarship (formerly Gardiner) allows parents to personalize the education of their children with unique abilities by directing money toward a combination of programs and approved providers. These include schools, therapists, specialists, curriculum, technology – even a college savings account.


The Hope Scholarship Has your child been bullied? If so, there’s hope. The Hope Scholarship gives parents the option to place their child in a safer academic environment. The Hope Scholarship is for students in grades kindergarten through 12 who are enrolled in a Florida public school and have been bullied, harassed, assaulted, threatened and/or a victim of other violent acts.



The McKay Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities provided nearly 30,000 Florida students with special needs the opportunity to attend a participating private school during the 2020-21 school year. The McKay Scholarship Program also offers parents public school choice. A parent of an eligible special needs’ student may choose to transfer the student to another public school. ­­­­­­­Florida’s school choice programs allow parents to choose the best educational setting—public or private—for their child.



Afterschool Scholarships available through the Division of Early Learning Florida’s School Readiness Program or SR offers financial assistance to eligible low-income families for early education and care so they can become financially self-sufficient and their young children can be successful in school in the future. Services vary based on individual needs and range from extended day care to after-school and school-age care in some instances.
