PARENTS NOW!

 

Workshops are offered throughout the year to support parents in guiding their children to reach their maximum learning potential, implement positive discipline, enhance the family’s organizational and communication skills, and build strong home, school and community partnerships.

 

The Department of Children & Families also refers at-risk families for home visits and behavior management to help prevent child neglect or abuse.

Family Empowerment

A program designed to help adolescents between the ages of 12-18, enhance protective factors and reduce risk factors for arrested youth diverted from the Juvenile Justice System. FEP provides a family-focused intervention offered in group settings to families with the necessary tools and support to educate and empower their teens. The 13 week program is offered in Miami Beach or in Hialeah, weekly from 6- 8pm, offered in Spanish and English, and provides psycho-educational group sessions (youths and parents).

Intake & Assessment

Weekly 2 hour group sessions (6pm-8pm).

Support Services (on-going case management and/or individual/ parent counseling services as needed).

Drug testing

Weekly & monthly reports to referring agency

School visits (Report card / guidance counselor as needed)

Family and youth referrals as needed

Guest Speakers for critical topics

Bus Passes if needed
