Teen Are Lifelong Learners (T.A.L.L.)

AYUDA, Inc -Teens Are Lifelong Leaders (T.A.L.L) is  funded by the Children’s Trust. The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.

Ayuda in collaboration with The Children’s Trust, Miami Beach Senior High School, and North Shore Park and Youth Center, has developed a new program called Teens Are Lifelong Learners (T.A.L.L.). This program is aimed at youth from grades 6th through 12th seeking to empower and educate them with lifeskills trainings.  T.A.L.L.  helps develop tools needed  to be successful and become the best one can be. T.A.L.L. will use the “Positive Action” curriculum, an evidence-based program that guides youths into making the connection between thoughts, actions, and feelings through dynamic and interactive activities that encourage them to use critical thinking and problem solving skills. The life skill of making choices that positively impact the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional areas in ones life is crucial for youth. The curriculum focuses on how thinking positively and doing positive actions help attain and maintain a good self image, become aware of how actions affect others, and that there is a positive way to do everything. “Positive Action” has been scientifically evaluated by government agencies and private organizations with positive results. Youth who participated in the program showed improvement in academics, behavior, and character as well as improved relationships at home. Community Service hours available through this opportunity.

In addition to the weekly school year sessions, T.A.L.L. will also host four family days throughout the year to promote family bonding through different activities that will provide continuity and cohesion with the goals of the program.
