Monday, June 5th, 2006
Miami, June 5, 2006 – AYUDA (Adults and Youth who are Underserved Deserve Attention), a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting underserved and/or at-risk families in Miami-Dade County through education, life-skills training, and programs that support self-sufficiency, utilized the Florida Marlins Community Booth at Dolphin Stadium on May 27, 2006 to distribute information while increasing awareness of the Miami Beach community.
The Florida Marlins are dedicated to making South Florida a better place by building a brighter future for South Florida’s youth. “The services that AYUDA provides are vital in assisting families in need in Miami-Dade County and the Forida Marlins are proud to support their efforts,” said Angela Smith, Community Affairs Manager.
At the Marlins vs. Mets game, AYUDA’s Public Relations Director Mariana Runha distributed 400 brochures to the crowd. Many of the attendees were very interested on AYUDA’s work, which communities are targeted, and, most important, how to contact and donate through the website. “It was a great opportunity for AYUDA to participate at the Community Booth! We need to let the community know of the problems we face and the solutions we offer”, said Mariana.
