» AYUDA Celebrates Holiday Season With Overtown Community

MIAMI, December 18, 2006 – AYUDA (Adults and Young Children with Unmet needs Deserve Attention), a nonprofit organization dedicated to help the lives of children and families who are underserved and/ or at risk in Miami-Dade County through education, life skills training, and programs that support self sufficiency, will celebrate the beginning of the Holiday season by promoting the AYUDA Overtown Fair and Holiday Party on December 22nd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fair will take place at Happy Children of Overtown located at 2101 NW 3rd Avenue, Overtown, FL 33127. At AYUDA’s Overtown Fair staff will be giving away new clothes and toys to the community of Overtown. Martin Arriola, AYUDA’s Board Member, will dress up as Santa to give away bikes and stuffed animals to the children of the community. Special guest performance by Rap artist Image of Hometeam Music and Group Project will also be performing. In addition, AYUDA will provide refreshments and food to the attendees. The idea is to create a fun event to entertain the community while providing a secure environment for them to enjoy themselves and get to know their neighbors. The objective is to let the community know that AYUDA is there for them.” Supporting the AYUDA Overtown Fair will be the educational mobile units of the Fire Department, Police Department, and Jackson Memorial’s Home Safety for children Unit.
